Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is AnyTrax Self Report (SR)?

AnyTrax SR automates offender check-ins from any telephone. AnyTrax automatically reminds offenders to check-in, with repeated reminders during agency-defined grace periods, consistently achieving over 95% check-in compliance and over 99.9% call completion without officer effort or intervention. When offenders check-in, AnyTrax:

  • Requires the offender to respond to tailored interview questions according to agency-defined protocols.
  • Records the offender's explanation for each status change or exception, such as a home address change, job change, or contact with police, and highlights each exception on the web-based Dashboard.

2. What is AnyTrax Curfew Monitor (CM)?

AnyTrax CM calls each offender randomly when they are required to be at home, based on their schedule for curfew or home detention, or AnyTrax can call at regularly scheduled times. For random or scheduled calls, the offender must respond within 3 minutes.

  • If a offender does not respond within 3 minutes, or if the line is busy, AnyTrax will call again.
  • If a offender checks-in late, does not respond, or calls from the wrong location, or if the line remains busy, AnyTrax will report an exception and generate an alert.

3. What kinds of messages does AnyTrax deliver to offenders?

AnyTrax Court Date Reminders, Random Drug Test Notifications, Appointment Reminders, and Payment Reminders help officers keep offenders informed of their obligations and maximize compliance. AnyTrax alerts officers of offenders who do not confirm receipt of any message, so officers can act as needed to reduce non-compliance.

4. How does AnyTrax confirm that an offender received a message?

AnyTrax message protocols are tailored to your agency specifications to define whether delivery of each type of message must be confirmed by voiceprint, assuring delivery directly to the offender, or by a touchtone response, assuring delivery to a person. You can also have AnyTrax deliver messages with no confirmation.

5. What is a "voiceprint"?

Analogous to a fingerprint, a "voiceprint" is a unique model for each offender that AnyTrax creates from samples of the offender's voice during enrollment. A "voiceprint" measures characteristics of a person's voice that are determined by the shape of their vocal cavity, so they are difficult to impersonate and are not typically affected by illness other than severe laryngitis.

6. How accurate are AnyTrax Advanced Voiceprints?

Voiceprint verification is trusted by government and commercial organizations, including banks, military, intelligence and law enforcement agencies. We configure AnyTrax for "high security", requiring offender check-ins to meet high confidence thresholds that minimize the risk of a "false accept" of an imposter, with accuracy over 99%.

7. How are AnyTrax Advanced Voiceprints more accurate than other telephone reporting services that offer voiceprint verification?

AnyTrax Voiceprint Exception Resolution Service (VERS) is a unique combination of proprietary tools and methods that we use to proactively analyze voiceprint verification exceptions. Our unique approach maximizes sensitivity for reliable detection of imposters while intercepting exceptions, eliminating wasted officer time for "false alerts", and automatically tuning voiceprints to enhance accuracy.

8. What languages does AnyTrax support?

Language independent verification supports most languages, and prompts are currently available in English, Spanish, and 15 other languages.

9. Does AnyTrax require offenders to have a wired home telephone?

No, offenders can use any U.S. wired, cell, or Internet telephone. To confirm the location of offenders with no home telephone, AnyTrax can call a cell telephone, and require the offender to call back from a nearby wired telephone. For offenders who cannot afford a telephone, the FCC Lifeline and Linkup programs provide subsidies for eligible consumers. For details, visit www.lifeline.gov and click on "Consumers".

10. What specialized equipment is required?

None. There are no devices attached to the offender or installed in their home. Officers only need a computer with Internet access and the ability to play sound.

11. Do offenders incur any long distance telephone charges?

No, offenders call a toll-free number.

12. Can AnyTrax share information with my agency's case management system (CMS)?

Yes, the AnyTrax Data Exchange (ADX) is a web service interface that allows your CMS to access offender information in AnyTrax, including all details of each contact and associated officer casenotes, as frequently as needed.

13. Does AnyTrax require offender casefiles to be loaded from an existing case management system (CMS)?

No. AnyTrax allows loading of offender data from your CMS, but this is not required. Officers can create offender casefiles in AnyTrax at any time via the Internet

14. How long does it take to enroll an offender in AnyTrax?

About 5 minutes.

15. Does AnyTrax require any special hardware or software on agency computers?

No.

16. Does AnyTrax require features or devices to be removed from the offender' telephone line?

17. Does AnyTrax require features or devices to be added to the offender's telephone line?

No. Offenders only need to be able to place toll-free calls and receive normal telephone calls.

18. Can AnyTrax Advanced Voiceprints accurately identify offenders when they are sick?

AnyTrax is not typically affected by illness other than severe laryngitis.

19. How does AnyTrax capture the offender's voiceprint?

During a brief enrollment call, AnyTrax records the offender's voice as they repeat a series of phrases as instructed by the system.

20. Does AnyTrax require enrollment of the offender's voiceprint on the same telephone that they will use to check-in?

No. AnyTrax incorporates technology that compensates for the voice transmission characteristics of different types of telephone devices, lines, and circuits.
